A family in faith, love, and service.
Our ministry is a Christian community filled with love and faith, where every person is welcomed just as they are. We believe in the transforming power of God’s grace and in the importance of walking together in unity. Our greatest desire is to help others, serve with humility, and reflect the love of Christ in every action.
A Community, Not a Structure
We are not a traditional church. We do not have a single pastor or a rigid hierarchy. We believe in shared responsibility, mutual teaching, and life in community.
Here, faith is not imposed—it is lived. It is discussed, questioned, sung, and practiced in everyday life.

Seeking to reflect the love of Christ in all its forms.
Christ is the Center
La Misión is a Christian community. We seek to follow Jesus not only with words, but through concrete actions: loving, serving, walking alongside others, and making space for one another. We believe that authentic spirituality is reflected in how we treat people and how we journey together through life. Christ is our center, our starting point, and our horizon.
At La Misión, we have witnessed great miracles. If we tried to tell them all, we would fill a book.
Miracles that came when there was no strength left, and others that revealed themselves over time. We believe that trusting in God is the foundation of faith.
And that being Christian is much more than saying it—it is living it.
Faith is shown in the way we walk, in how we love, how we serve, and how we remain steadfast even when we don’t understand the path. For us, believing is not just a declaration—it is a way of life.

La Misión was not born as a plan. It was born as a calling.
It’s hard to define La Misión in a single sentence, because it is not just a place, nor a ministry, nor an organization. La Misión is a living community, made up of real people who walk together seeking one thing: to live their faith authentically and find their identity in Christ.
La Misión is:
- A Christ-centered Christian community
- A space for connection, worship, and service
- A home where faith is lived with simplicity
- A place where everyone is welcome

MUSIC, SERVICE, AND SHARED LIFE
Music has been part of La Misión from the very beginning. We sing songs that are born from our own story—our struggles, our hopes, and our prayers. For us, worship is a way of telling God who we are, just as we are.
Service is also an essential part of our identity. For many years, we have walked alongside local and indigenous communities, sharing life, work, and faith—not from above, but side by side.
A HOME WITH OPENED DOORS
It doesn’t matter your background, your social status, the color of your skin, your orientation, or even your beliefs. Here, no one has to fit into a mold to be received. If you arrive, there’s a hug. If you stay, there’s community. And always, a warm cup of coffee.
A MISSION THAT IS LIVED
La Misión is a place where people from different countries, cultures, and walks of life live together. Through the Spanish school, the coffee project, and community life, we have learned that faith is strengthened when it is shared and embodied in everyday life. We do not seek to be great—we seek to be faithful.

TODAY
Today, we are still here—in Tuis, Turrialba, Costa Rica. Walking slowly, but together. Believing that community heals, that love transforms, and that God is still at work among ordinary people.
La Misión is not perfect.
But it is real.
And for us, that changes everything.
